Spending a fortnights holiday here, at the S.E. point of England - Broadstairs is a very old town, going back to 1070 (date of the Parish Church). St Augustine landed near here in 507. The town has strong association with Charles Dickens who lived and worked here for many years. Many lovely old regency houses still survive and it can be said that Broadstairs has records and relics of every age of English civilisation and culture since pre - Roman times. At present there is a strong N.E. half gale blowing and hardly any sun. But that means we have time to send cards to our friends! We're very well and hope you are too, Kindest regards and warm greetings from L & E
